Through modifying how and what we eat, host health as well as the health of the planet can improve. At Microbiome Alchemy the focus is on transforming the gut microbiome. The emphasis is on whole foods, local foods, organic foods, wild foods and fermented foods along with lifestyle modifications to improve digestion and enhance health.

Erika Stowe-Madison is a registered dietitian nutritionist specializing in the gut microbiome. She has completed advanced training in the gut microbiome and works professionally in the field of gut microbiome translational research. Her bachelor’s degree was completed at Humboldt State University in political science with a focus on environmental politics. Post undergraduate coursework included pre-medical curriculum followed by a Master of Science degree in clinical nutrition from Bastyr University. Following Bastyr, she performed 1200 hours of training in the areas of clinical nutrition, public health, commercial kitchen management and school nutrition as well as graduate coursework in medical nutrition therapy and research at Marshall University.
